No: There are number of conditions of fibrous tissue origin. In the hand it is Dupuytrens contracture. Fibromatosis in the penis is Peyroinies disease . in a baby's neck it is wry neck or torticollis and in the sole of the foot, plantar fibromatosis. One is unrelated to the other and all are totally benign, but is resected incompletely if necessary, will locally recur.

No: they are both types of fibromatosis but one does not cause the other
