Hopefullly you have: Noticed that your knee is more stable now that you are a year out. Thiis stability is important to protect the knee and improve function. It is possible that injuries to the knee occurred at the time of the original acl tear, but keeping the knee stable is the best way to minimize the long term effects of those injuries.
