Especially in toddlers, the positions that they sleep in can cause the muscles to lose bloodflow temporarily lose oxygen, causing a "fatigue" or "achey" feeling in the foot or leg. It is worth checking: Out. There could be an issue of a flatfoot being overworked during the day. It can be "growing pains", there are some bone tumors (unlikely, but possible) that cause night pain. Sometimes, docs don't find any problem, and it eventually goes away......

Limb pain in kids: The so-called "growing pain" is quite common in young children and often a cause of great distress to parents. The pain usually occurs in the legs--thigh, knee, mid shin, ankle areas and generally manifest during inactive hours--sleeping, sitting around/watching tv etc...Gently massage the area for a few minutes, distract her a bit and she will be fine. Take her to see doc to make sure. Good luck.
