Varies depending...: A woman can conceive on the day she ovulates, if sperm are there. Usually, she ovulates on day 14 of a 28 day cycle. So, the number of days from the last day of her period until she ovulates will depend on the length (the number of days) of her period. That means with a 4-day period, there are 10 days until ovulation. With an 8-day period, there are 6 days until ovulation. It's arithmetic!
