I been on the depo-provera shot for almost a year now and i haven't had any periods but i woke up this morning my period was on.. is this a sign of pregnancy?

Can't really tell: Depoprovera works by suppressing the release of pituitary gonadotropin hormones that normally keep menstrual cycles regular. Once the depo's suppression is removed, the normal ovulatory cycle should resume (but it's not predictable exactly when). Experts on healthtap have mentioned 9-18 months as the time range. A urine pregnancy test can tell if there's a pregnancy, three weeks after ovulation.

Probably not: If you have been on the shot regularly, it is very unlikely that you are pregnant. However, you can do a pregnancy to be sure! if you are not pregnant, you can safely continue injections but ask your doctor about measures to stop the bleeding.
