Hang in there: If the fever is under 104 f (40c), and your child has no other symptoms such as cough, ear pain, sore throat or pain with urination, etc, keep your child well hydrated and hang in there. Some viruses can cause fever for 7-10 days. That's the cut-off we use to decide that further investigation is needed. Give lots of love and fluids and keep your eyes open to watch for new symptoms, .
