See below: Highly unlikely. Some bleeding as the cord separates is normal. If there is mucous coming from the site, or the site is red and swollen, your child should be seen.

See below: The slight bleeding from the belly button should resolve spontaneously. It should not need surgery. Keep an eye on it and call your pediatrician if you have concerns.
