Yes but get checked: There are many causes to backache during mid-late pregnancy, including mechanical, hormonal, infection. Hormones increase ligament laxity which adds to mechanical stress on the back. Stress is already higher because posture changes due to the shifting, enlarging fetus. Urinary infection is more common in pregnancy. Rarer causes are placental problems or uterine infections. Consult your doctor.
