Re-test in one week: The urine test you took was only on day 17 of your cycle. Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is the basis of a urine pregnancy test, and will not become positive until after implantation, often 5-7 days after conception, but this depends on the sensitivity of the test. To minimize a false negative result, wait to test until a week after your missed period.
