Ovaries are sleepy?: It is not uncommon for periods to be very irregular for the first couple years. Your ovaries were sleeping for a long time and maybe just wanted to hit the snooze button. But if you are significantly underweight or exercise a great deal you may not be ovulating regularly. This can also happen if you are obese. Time for a check-up!
