A member asked:

What gland is responsible for body temperature?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It ain't a gland: The hypothalamus is the site of temperature regulation. There are actually two areas of the hypothalamus, almost touching each other, responsible--one for not allowing temperature to go too low & the other not allowing the temperature to go too high. Of course many factors may interfere with this, such as colds & other infections.
