There are several: When it is due to a nerve coming from the spine, it is called radiculopathy or radiculitis. The nerves in the arms and legs (and trunk) can have a condition, peripheral neuropathy (many causes, including diabetes). Some nerves can have neuropathy or neuritis from pressure, trauma or inflammation ("-itis" means inflammation).
