Nerve or tendon: Sounds like a nerve or tendon in the palm of your hand is irritated. Could be a recent injury / overuse or a more chronic issue. Sometimes finger can lock . Rest, non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs should make this better. If not improving should see doc to eval.
