No: The two symptoms however could be the result of the same underlying process. If you have been totally blind for even a few seconds associated with head pain, you need an urgent medical assessment!

Headache : There is a rare form of head pain called giant cell or temporal arteritis which can cause blindness in elderly folks. In young people, eye pain may be caused by optic neuritis, and this can cause severe vision loss. Sometime optic neuritis is the sentinal event in multiple sclerosis.
