General weight loss: With natural weight loss (by eating fewer calories and exercising more to use up stored fat), a person loses fat from all areas of his body. So, to lose the arm fat (usually in the upper arms), one must lose weight (fat) from throughout the body. Doing exercises to strengthen and build up the arm muscles will make the arms look better as the fat is used up.
