Hives: Sounds like hives (urticaria). Acute urticaria can be due to many causes. Treatment is to decrease the itch with high dose oral antihistamines and you can apply a topical Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to calm the itch. If they don't resolve soon, you should see a doctor.

Maybe hives?: This rash needs to be visualized & a history needs to be obtained in order to make an accurate diagnosis. Sometimes lab testing or biopsy is necessary.
