A member asked:

If one ovary is removed does fallopian tubes need to be removed together?

Not nescessarily: Ovaries can be removed alone leaving behind the tube. It depends on the disease process causing the need for removal. The alone can be removed for large cyst involving the ovary while endometriosis involving the ovary and tube may result in removal of both.

Usually not: A lot of it depends why the ovary was removed for.
