A member asked:

I have piyroformis syndrome i am in pain what can i do

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Syndrome isnt diseas: Pyriformis syndrome means pain in the distribution of pyriformis muscle, a component of the buttock, which directly overlies a portion of the sciatic nerve. Overuse or sudden stretch are frequent causes. Physical therapy, massage, exercise, heat and postural re-education can be very helpful. But you need to know why the problem started to best address it.
