Vitiligo: Ultraviolet phototherapy is considered safe but there is a significant risk of sunburn. Skin cancer risk also increases but risk is low.

Be cautious: When we treat patients with uvb light we usually shield the male genitals because there is good data that it increases your risk of penile cancer. It's a small, but real risk.
