How soon can i eat hot food after having a tooth extraction?

Usually 24 hours: This depends upon how 'hot' you like your food. You can definitely warm up your food but don't eat it steaming hot. Two reasons: 1) you may still be numb and burn your gums 2) the hot food (especially liquids) can dissolve the blood clot and make you start to bleed again. Don't 'slurp' or 'suck' through a straw for 24 hours as this may dislodge your blood clot and cause a dry socket.

Wait atleast 24Hrs: Cold stimuli the first 24 hrs and warm stimuli after 24hrs is the general rule for inflamatory reduction.
