Depends upon site: Ringworm on the skin not involving scalp generally responds well to antifungal cream. The one involving scalp, however, requires systemic treatment for long period, e.g. Griseofulvin.

I am having ringworm in inner thighs and I have tried to treat it with antifungal creams but it occurs repeatedly after few days. Is there any way to treat it permanently?
