A member asked:

Can blood clots in the leg come back after being treated with heprin?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Having a previous DVT increases the risk of recurrent DVT after you stop blood thinners. In unusual situations patient can develop new clots while on blood thinners and that is rare and need a physician evaluation , you may be not fully anticoagulated or you may need an ivc filter .. Talk to you your doctor if the later happens.
