Pain in thyroid cartilege - how serious could pain of this type be? what is the most common cause of this type pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Perichondritis?: Pain in the cartilage itself can occur and is usually self-limited but if it continues, worsens or recurs, it is likely a good idea to see an internist or an ENT doc. It is al's possible that the thyroid is the problem, thyroiditis can cause pain there.
