Expiration date: Virtually all food/medicine products sold in us have an expiration date before which it is guaranteed most effectiveness for what the medicine can do. This only means as time pass, the medicine slowly deteriorates and thus becomes less and less effective. For example: if the med is to expire 12/31/12, it should still be good 1/1/13, but may not be in 9/1/15 etc.. Consult doc. Good luck.
