After it heals: If a colles fracture has healed in adequate alignment, a patient can expect to return to full function including playing tennis. Healing should be confirmed by your physician by exam and radiographically. If stiff after immobilization, physical therapy may be needed to regain motion and strength prior to resuming sports.

Colles fracture: Usually implies a fracture of the distal radius , this can be a misnomer as fracture pattern differs greatly from person to person and colles didn't have x-rays .So much of the decision is dependent upon the x-ray. The adequacy of a reduction the numbers of bone fragment the soft tissue injury and more but treatment can range from casting to surgery . Talk to your doctor re: return to play or not.
