Upset stomach: Most eye drops are absorbed chiefly by the eye. If you are concerned, have your husband close his eyes for 5 minutes after the drop is given-- then very little of the medicine will get into the bloodstream. This will minimize the chances for an upset stomach.

Why chloro?: Most conjunctivitis episodes are either viral, irritative or allergic and not bacterial. Even if it is the latter, there is a very small, but finite, risk of irreversible aplastic anemia described with this product.
