You are dry!: Thirst is the body's way of telling you that more water is needed! not soda, energy drinks, sports drinks, caffeine or alcohol. All of these fluids actually make you more thirsty. Excess salt intake can also cause heightened thirst. Metabolically, certain patho-physiologic processes like diabetes can cause excess thirst. But eliminate the common causes first!
