A member asked:

What could be causing a strange, persistent pain at the left ribcage area?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Costochondritis?: You could have inflammation of the cartilage where your ribs connect to your sternum. Other common possiblilites are acid reflux or trapped gas in the colon. As with all persistent pain, it's very important to have your doctor evaluate this for you, and rule out more serious disease.
