New home for kitty?: There is no way to truly "cure" cat allergy. The best way to minimize symptoms of course is to remove the cat from the home. If that is not possible, allergy injections to cat are very effective. They may not completely "cure" the allergy, but can diminish them significantly.

Essentially, yes: Literature shows (and my patients will tell you) allergy shots (allergy immunotherapy) are very effective for most everyone with cat allergy. Within weeks, medicine usually can be reduced, and in several years, shots can usually be stopped entirely, and most all remain immune. Sound like a cure? Enables better quality of life with less medicine. See a board-certified allergist for details.
