False positive?: Potassiu tests are levels of teh element potassium in your blood. If you mean what can cause elevations, there are a number of possibilities. Diabetes can cause fluctuations in potassium levels. Certain antihypertensives like potassium sparing diuretics and ace inhibitors can also increase potassium levels. Check with your physician regarding the relevance of your increase.
