Other options: Depoprovera is an effective birth control method but it does lead to appetite stimulation which can lead to weight gain. If you are already overweight consider switching to another method. Once you stop a birth control method you will return to your normal fertility state. There are no long term changes to fertility after using birth control. That is a myth.
