Probably not...: Most patients with community-acquired MRSA have the skin symptoms that you describe. With treatment, the infection is not likely to become a systemic infection so pneumonia and certainly death are not likely to occur. If the infection were to become systemic, you would experience fever, chills, etc. If you do develop these symptoms, see your doctor or go to the er, but this is unlikely w/ therapy.
