Should i use my glasses prescription for contact lenses?

Naah: Usually a little different, especially as the prescription number gets higher. Also, you have to be fitted with a right fit, not just prescription power.

No: Contact lens prescriptions contain more that a power. They contain a base curve (curvature of the lens) appropriate for your specific eye. The contain a diameter for adequate coverage of your cornea. They contain a thickness and different oxygen transmission ratings. The fitting also needs followup to ensure your eye is compatible with the fit and plastic. Gas permeable lenses are more complex.
