Infection types- 2: Basically there are two types of discharge associated with infection. Yeast causes a cottage cheese like discharge. Itching is also a frequent symptom. Bv or bacterial vaginosis usually is present when there is a watery discharge with a very strong fish odor. There are many normal changes in a womans vaginal secretions during her cycle that do not indicate infections. See your gyn doctor if you.
