GB stores, not make : Bile is made in liver, stored in gb, travels down ducts into small bowel. Bile is a digestive detergent. Can live quite well, for a full lifetime without gb. Can digest food just fine in great majority if cases. Some may have diarrhea for some while after surgery, usually decreases with time. Talk with doc.
