Age dependent!: After puberty it is age dependent. Weight/height tables are obsolete and only a crude guide to ideal weight per height. Best single measure is body composition analysis through electrical impedance plethysmography. For a teen, ideal body fat is 16-23. For a women over 20, 23-29% ideal. Diet and exercise should promote leaness, rather than a target weight.
