Depends: Generally it is not permitted by law, depending on the state, since minors are often still in the growth phase of development of the eye and laser correction has a great chance of being premature and more potentially inaccurate. In some special cases it may be indicated, but usually only under special investigational protocol.

This is especially true for those at risk of developing amblyopia - a condition that can cause one or both eyes not to be able to see well despite wearing the approptriate prescription.
