Endometriosis: Endometriomas are a cystic mass full of endometriosis tissue. If it ruptures this spread the endometriosis throughout the pelvis. Although that that sounds bad the reality is it's not as bad as it sounds. Likely a patient with an endometrioma already has endometriosis throughout her pelvis. The treatment would be the same whether it ruptures or not.
