A member asked:

What is the treatment for congestive heart failure in salt sensitive people?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Multiple treatments: Salt restriction is obvious. Medication classes that may help (usually a combination of several is best) include the ace-i's, arb's, beta blockers, and aldosterone antagonists, and diuretics. The choice of treatments will be determined by contributing factors such as valvular problems, coronary disease, rhythm disturbances, kidney function, etc. Any remediable causes should be treated.
