A member asked:

How much pain can a damaged acl cause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Minimal: When an acl tear first happens the pain can be quite severe. However after about 8 weeks or so the pain will lessen to minimal or none. Unless you pivot in some daily activity and the knee gives out because the acl is no longer stabilizing your knee you should be ok with most daily activities thay involve straight walking.
