Trace mitral regurgitation was shown on my echo. how do i monitor this and keep it from developing further?

MR: You can see cardiologist on annual basis. Continue with healthy life style-- healthy eating and exercise. Exercise intolerance would be the first sign indicating an earlier apt with cardiologist.

Keep your BP normal: Trace mitral valve regurgitation is physiologically normal and benign; as long as you are asymptomatic it does not require follow up.

Insignificant: Trace mitral regurgitation is common and nothing to worry about. A good physical exam is sufficient for monitoring.

Normal: Finding. If its trivial than no further evaluation is required unless symptoms develop.
