Stored online now...: The U.S. Government, over the past 10 years or more, has made plans and rules to require medical records to be on computers. Doctors who are helping care for the same patient can look at the patient's records online or on the same computer network, if they have password access. Doctors can also be emailed records, if they don't have password access. Records are private unless the system is hacked.
