SVT: Supraventricular tachycardia (svt) is the same in pregnant women as it is in any adult. The difference is not only does the woman have symptoms, the fetus may suffer as well. It is an abnormal fast heart beat, generally over 180, up to as high as 220-240. Preventive and therapeutic treatment is available for use during pregnancy.
