>30: Generally a vit d level less then 30 is considered deficient. However, research still needs to be done to determine what is too low in different ethnicities and disease states. We still dont know how much to replace or how aggressively to replace vit d in different populations. Overall, vit d is safe and it is difficult to become toxic unless one is ingessting large amounts or has renal disease.
