Hand washing: Avoid being near folks with common cold. If you are in contact with such a person or items that were near or in contact with the person, wash your hands. Avoid touching your face before you wash your hands.

Colds: Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Avoid touching mouth, nose or eyes with unclean hands. Cough into crock of elbow. Stay away from people who are ill.
