Be Patient: As parents we have to learn to be patient..Is your child waking up crying, is the child wet, is the child waking up happy ready to play? Mine did the same thing and i went through the above list ) and most times a walk around the house did it and he went back to sleep. They are all different. Leave yours in their crib not your bed, if they fall asleep in your bed get them back to the crib.

Don't reinforce: The most common reasons: 1). If he falls asleep anywhere other than his own bed, 2) if you feed, rock, talk to him or put him in your bed when he night wakes 3) if he has a bottle or pacifier that rolls out of the crib. If ignoring the night crying is not for you, there are graded ways to do so in dr ferber's 2006 edition of his book on sleep.
