Possibilities: Trauma or inflammation to the urethra causes the burning sensation. This can come from kidney stones, infection or very acidic concentrated urine. In men prostatic fluid which is rich in sugar if not flushed from the urethra after intercourse dries and with urination you get very minor shearing and discomfort. If the symptom is persistent see your doctor for approriate diagnosis.
