What to do for herpes outbreak right before you are due?

C-section is likely: If you have an outbreak at the time of your labor, c-section is recommended. If the outbreak occurs and you have a few days to get treatment and the lesions resolve in time, you may avoid the c-section. Baby is at increased for severe and potentially fatal perinatal herpes infection (herpes encephalitis--brain infection) etc...Consult doc asap. Good luck.
