FOR WHAT?: Pamelor (nortriptyline) is from the tricyclic antidepressant class of medications. It can also be used for anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain, and migraine prophylaxis. The dose of 10mg is extremely low and is either just to get you started or else it is being used for something other than depression like for pain or insomnia in which case the low dose is appropriate.

Pamelor (nortriptyline): At that low dose, not effective for depression, although other conditions ncan be helped, such as neurogenic pain and sleep.
