What is recovery from femoral endarterectomy like? does it take weeks to fully recover?

Femoral endartectomy: Usually we try to get people mobile as soon as possible. It does take a week or so to allow the incision to heal, but you should be up and about fairly soon after surgery. Depending on your type of work, you should be able to return to work in 5 to 7 days.

Yes: When done on one side the procedure is relatively limited and immediately helpful to the limb circulation.The incision is smallish the tissue divided is limited, so overall pain and disability is limited. Depending on the degree of pre op limitation good recovery in 4-6 weeks is common.
